Videoing & Photography

We understand everyone wants to capture their new piercing on film or capture their child’s ear piercings, but we would like you to understand & respect our piercers rights. Not everyone likes having a camera on them, not everyone wants to be splattered all over social media. Not everyone wants to be filmed/photographed while at work. Simply ask your piercer beforehand, please do not just start filming. 

It is the decision of each piercer if they wish to be filmed or photographed in our piercing room.  The consent of the piercer is required prior to any filming or photo taking. Filming & Photography can cause anxiety, stress & nervousness for a piercer. 

In most cases, if agreed upon the piercer will ask for any footage to be filmed on our device so we can edit the footage & possibly use for advertising etc. 

Unfortunately, if you are asked not to film/photo and you proceed you will be asked to leave. This is a breach of privacy. 

We always ask verbal & written consent before we take any clients photos/videos and would greatly appreciate the same respect shown. 

Ideally with children’s ear piercing we ask that the parent/guardian in the room focus on helping us assure/calm their child and assist with holding their hand etc. Instead of focusing on videoing. This can be a very big distraction to not just the child but also the piercer/s. Especially with babies we 100% need the parent/guardian to hold baby still to ensure the ear piercing is done in the correct position, babies move very quickly. Piercing babies is very stressful & we appreciate the help of the parent/guardian. 

We allow 1 parent/guardian to be the piercing room with anyone under 16 years, this includes babies. Above this age, it is at the discretion of the piercer. Again, having others in the room can be a big distraction for both the client & the piercer. Also, a person watching can pass out which causes us more distraction from doing the piercing. Ideally we ask that no extras enter our piercing rooms.
